ABSTRACT:
Both folk medicine and the conventional medical system are still very important to our healthcare system. Herbs like palash are frequently utilized in Ayurvedic therapy. The Butea monosperma Lam. Kuntze is the botanical source of Palash. This medium-sized deciduous tree can be found all over the northern region of India. Palash, also referred to as "flame of the forest," is a member of the Fabaceae family. According to traditional reports, the plant has antibacterial, aphrodisiac, astringent, bitter, alterative, anthelmintic, and anti-asthmatic qualities. Red juice known as "Butea gum" or "Bengal kino" is produced by the bark. Palash is used extensively in traditional medicine, which has led to a thorough chemical investigation of its medicinal components. This article provides a quick overview of botany.
