ABSTRACT:
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on society, global health, and individual lives, illustrating the virus's tendency to induce serious health problems that persist after the acute stage of infection. This review seeks to provide light on the risk factors and possible outcomes linked with the numerous post-COVID-19 problems that patients recovering from the illness may suffer. focus on the respiratory system because persistent cough, chronic respiratory insufficiency, and pulmonary fibrosis are examples of post-COVID-19 consequences that can impair long-term respiratory function. Myocarditis, heart failure, and thromboembolic events are among the cardiovascular consequences that are also examined because new research indicates a substantial correlation between COVID-19 and harmful cardiovascular effects.
