ABSTRACT:
This istudy iexplores ithe ieffectiveness iand ipotential iof itransdermal ipatches ias ia idrug idelivery isystem, iemphasizing itheir ibenefits iover iconventional imethods. iTransdermal idrug idelivery isystems i(TDDS) iprovide ia inon-invasive ialternative ifor imedication iadministration, ihelping ito ibypass iissues ilike ifirst-pass imetabolism iand igastrointestinal ibreakdown ioften iencountered iwith ioral imedications. iThe ireview ithoroughly iexamines ithe icomponents, ivariations, and ipreparation itechniques iof itransdermal ipatches, iunderscoring itheir iability ito iimprove ipatient iadherence iand itherapeutic isuccess. iResults ishow ithat itransdermal ipatches ican iefficiently ideliver ivarious idrugs, iespecially ithose iwith ipoor ioral ibioavailability ior ibrief ihalf-lives. iFurthermore, ithe istudy ihighlights ithe icritical irole iof ipermeation ienhancers iin ifacilitating idrug iabsorption iacross ithe iskin. iAnd iin ifuture ithe istudy iidentifies ia istrong imarket ipotential ifor iTDDS iand icalls ifor icontinued iresearch ito ioptimize ipatch idesigns ifor igreater idrug idelivery ieffectiveness iand ipatient icompliance.
