ABSTRACT:
This study explores the formulation and evaluation of a turmeric-based mouth dissolving film (MDF) designed for ulcer treatment. Turmeric, known for its active compound curcumin, possesses anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that can aid in ulcer healing. The MDF provides a convenient and effective mode of drug delivery, ensuring rapid disintegration and absorption. The study involves formulation, characterization, and in vitro evaluation of the film, assessing parameters like tensile strength, disintegration time, and drug release profile. Results indicate enhanced curcumin bioavailability and improved therapeutic efficacy, making it a promising alternative for ulcer management. Additionally, the study investigates the stability and storage conditions of the MDFs to determine their shelf life and efficacy over time.
