ABSTRACT:
Polyherbal soaps are widely used in skincare because they contain natural ingredients with cleansing and protective properties. The present study aimed to formulate and evaluate a polyherbal soap containing Neem oil, Aloe vera extract, Guava leaf extract, Peppermint oil, Vitamin E, and Camphor. The soap was prepared using a glycerin soap base by the melt-and-pour method. Herbal ingredients were incorporated into the melted soap base, followed by molding and solidification. The prepared formulations were evaluated for physicochemical parameters including appearance, pH, foam height, and skin irritation. The formulations showed good organoleptic properties with a smooth texture and pleasant herbal odor. The pH of the optimized formulation was found to be 7.5, indicating good skin compatibility. The foam height was satisfactory, demonstrating good cleansing ability. No signs of redness, itching, or irritation were observed during the skin irritation study. Among all formulations, F3 showed the best overall performance. The study concluded that the formulated polyherbal soap possesses acceptable physicochemical properties and can be used as a safe herbal cleansing product for daily skin care. The combination of Neem oil, Aloe vera, and Guava leaf extract may provide additional skin-protective and antimicrobial benefits
