ABSTRACT:
Transdermal drug delivery system is the third-largest drug delivery system this route of administration is administered through skin which gives the local or systemic effect. For development of transdermal drug delivery system explored the vesicular drug delivery system which provide ability to enter the drugs into skin. The evaluation of the skin delivery capabilities of various vesicular systems, such as liposomes, ethosomes, invasomes is done by using the Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). A new class of vesicles called invasomes, invasomes are like a liposomal vesicle composed of terpenes in small amounts, or a combination of terpenes, which can help to improve penetration of skin. The methods used for the preparation of invasomes are mechanical dispersion technique and film hydration technique. Characterization of invasomes are vesicle size and shape, entrapment efficiency, drug content, stability studies, surface morphology, ex vivo permeation studies.
